Frequently Asked Questions

group of dogs looking like they have questions
How do I get started?
  • Start by filling out our contact form and tell us about your dog! Once we hear from you, we will ask you to provide us the following:
    1) Vaccination/medical records
    2) Proof of ownership
  • Once we receive everything, we'll schedule your consultation. We're available 7 days a week, during normal business hours, and by appointment only. Our calendar fills up quickly, so for specific days and times there may be a waiting period.
    Consultation fee: $150*
*Includes behavior evaluation. Not applied toward cost of training program
  • Consultations are typically 2-3 hours and are conducted at our home facility, located in Phoenix near 40th St & Thomas. We will first observe & evaluate your dog's behaviors and how you interact with your dog. We will then get to know each other a little bit as we discuss your dog's behaviors and what you've been doing so far. It's important you are comfortable with us and our dog training methods before you sign up, and we can see that you are going to be excited and committed to training your dog. Know that you will not be turned away as long as you and your family are willing to follow the training program we outline for you.
Once we complete your dog's assessment, we will then discuss which dog training program, tools, and methods will work best for you and your dog, and what your investment will be. If you choose to move forward and sign up, we’ll schedule your dog training sessions. If not, you will leave with invaluable information about your dog, from a trusted professional.

What exactly do I get with Lifetime Support?
Our goal is always to help you achieve results in as short a time as possible. Nobody wants their dog training to be endless. However if follow-up sessions are required, they are free of charge and will be conducted at Paws To Train Your Dog or a location chosen by your trainer. If you need additional help, your dog may stay with us at our Phoenix home facility for only a nominal boarding fee. Lifetime Support lasts for as long as you own your dog and maintain your dog's training.
